100% natural massage wax and oils

100% Natural

At PB TwentyFive we believe that your skin deserves the very best, that's why we only ever use 100% natural ingredients.  In formatting the base of our products we experimented with a huge range of natural ingredients before we settled on the finished product.

When selecting our ingredients we wanted the very best ingredients for the skin, as well as the best oils for therapeutic benefits.  Listed below is a list of all our our ingredients and why we use them.

For our wax products

Mango butter

Mango butter is the main ingredient in all of our wax products.  It absorbs into the skin exceptionally well, which allows the essential oils we use to work their magic.  Take a look below at some of the reasons why we love mango butter:

  • Moisturises - helps soften and moisturise the skin
  • Makes a great massage wax - solid at room temperature, meaning we get a lovely firm wax, without being greasy
  • Skin Conditions - can help combat dry skin, eczema and dermatitis, help stretch marks and rashes
  • Natural Protection - provides natural UV protection
  • Anti-Oxidants - high in anti-oxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties - great for massage!

Sweet almond oil

A popular massage medium around the World, sweet almond oil offers a lovely, luxurious feel for both client and therapist.  We use sweet almond oil alongside our mango butter to give our wax the perfect blend of absorption and grip.  We love sweet almond oil and here are some of the reasons why:

  • Anti-Inflammatory  – It can help reduce inflammation when applied topically
  • Anti-oxidant – Almond oil is rich in anti-oxidants
  • Muscle Relaxation  – helps create the perfect blend to help relax tired, stressed and overworked muscles.

Beeswax

We use beeswax in our products to help give our massage wax the best 'grip rate' when carrying out a treatment.  We don't need a lot because our mango butter is also solid at room temperature.  We like to add a little beeswax and listed below are some of it's benefits:

  • Protective - beeswax provides a natural protective barrier for the skin, without the suffocating effects of petroleum.  Beeswax doesn't clog the skin like chemical products, whilst at the same time helping sooth and reduce any dryness in the skin
  • Soothes - soothing effect on the skin, especially if you suffer from dryness or itching.  Leaves the skin feeling calm and soft
  • Humectant - beeswax attracts water and helps to keep the skin hydrated
  • Vitamin A - a powerful fat soluble anti-oxidant vitamin A helps with inflammation and is known to help the skin repel bacteria.

Vitamin E

In all of our products we add vitamin E as a natural preservative to help keep your product fresh.  Vitamin E is a natural preservative due to it's high levels of anti-oxidants.  Check below for the many other benefits of this amazing ingredient:

  • Moisturises - vitamin E helps lock in moisture in your skin.  It does this by helping to strengthen the skin and reduces moisture loss
  • Anti-oxidising - helping to reduce the free radicals that build up on the skin.

For Our Massage Oils

Apricot kernel oil

Apricot kernel oil is a lovely light oil that is made from pressing the seeds of the fruit - a by product of the super healthy and delicious fruit.  The oil is lovely on the skin and really helps soften and moisturise when applied topically.  Here are some of the many benefits it can give:

  • Anti-Inflammatory – helps reduce inflammation, ideal when applied topically during a massage on sore, tired or injured muscles
  • Moisturising – leaving the skin feeling soft and nourished
  • Anti-oxidant – helping the skin by reducing free radicals.

Grapeseed oil

Grapeseed oil is a lovely light oil in colour and feel.  We believe that mixed with apricot kernel and avocado oils that it gives a perfect blend that provides excellent grip rate and absorption into the skin - helping you give a great massage.  Some of the benefits are detailed below:

  • Moisturises - lovely moisturising properties for the skin, without any of the greasiness.  The oil helps lock moisture into the skin
  • Rebalancing - grapeseed can help balance oily skin.

Avocado oil

Avocado oil is one of the richest sources of beneficial healthy fats, such as oleic acid, which is excellent for the skin.  It is very moisturising and great at softening the skin.  The avocado oil we use is cold pressed for extra goodness.  Avocado oil on it's own is a heavy oil, so we have blended it with the light oils of apricot and grapeseed to give the perfect consistency.
